What does the Centre do?

The Programme
• Social Care service
• An education programme
• A psychological service

The young people have a responsibility to abide by a contract, code of conduct and complete a trial programme. There are regular reviews of their progress, with their parent/guardians and/or referral agents. The young person must attend all their classes and arranged appointments.

Opening Hours
The Centre is open Monday to Thursday from 8.30am to 4.30 pm and Friday from 8.30am to 2.30pm.

The Education Programme
All our young people study all or some of the following subjects up to Junior Certificate level:

• English
• Mathematics
• History
• Physical Education
• Civic, Social and Political Education (C.S.P.E.)
• Material Technology(Wood)
• Business Studies
• Art, Craft and Design

The Social Care Programme
All our young people are assigned a keyworker from the Social Care team once they commence at Carline.
The young people can avail of day to day support from their keyworker with their learning, time management, anger management, peer relationships etc. Each young person has an individual development plan which they work on with their keyworker.
The Counselling Service
Many of the young people attending Carline benefit from attending counselling.
